These guidelines keep Khonnect.com a safe, trustworthy marketplace for buyers and sellers across Cambodia. Every ad is checked automatically before it goes live — ads that follow these rules get approved fast, and ads that break them are rejected, paused for review, or removed.
Read this before you post — following these rules gets your ad approved faster.

Overview
Khonnect.com connects people who want to buy and sell goods and services in Cambodia. Anyone with an account can post an ad in minutes.
To keep the marketplace safe and useful, every ad passes through automated moderation before it appears publicly. Most ads are approved within moments. The guidelines below explain what we allow, what we don’t, and how to write an ad that gets approved and sells.
What you can post
Genuine, legal goods and services that you own or are authorised to sell, including:
- Phones, computers, electronics, and home appliances
- Vehicles, motorbikes, and spare parts
- Property for sale or rent
- Furniture, household goods, fashion, and beauty items
- Sports gear, hobbies, books, and everyday items
- Legitimate local services such as repairs, tutoring, and events
What is not allowed
To protect our community, the following may not be posted. Ads containing them are removed, and repeat offenders lose their account:
- Illegal items — drugs, weapons, protected wildlife, or stolen goods
- Counterfeit, replica, or pirated products
- Restricted items — medicines, pharmaceuticals, and regulated substances
- Adult or sexually explicit content and services
- Scams, fake giveaways, money schemes, or misleading offers
- Hateful, violent, discriminatory, or harassing content
- Job, recruitment, tender, or procurement posts — these belong on BongThom.com, not Khonnect.com
Writing a great ad
A clear, honest ad builds trust and sells faster. Aim for accuracy over hype:
- Write a specific title with the brand, model, or key detail — for example, “Honda Click 2022, low mileage”
- Describe the item honestly: condition, age, size, and anything a buyer should know
- Mention any faults up front — surprises lead to cancelled deals
- Choose the correct category and location so the right buyers find you
Photos
Real photos are the single biggest factor in whether an ad sells.
- Upload your own clear photos of the actual item — not images taken from the internet
- Show the item from a few angles, in good light
- Include any flaws so buyers know exactly what they are getting
- Do not add phone numbers, watermarks, or promotional text onto photos
Pricing and honesty
Set a fair, realistic price for the item’s condition. Ads with clear, honest prices get more genuine enquiries.
Do not use fake low prices to attract clicks, and do not hide fees. If a price is negotiable, say so.
Contact and replies
Add a working contact method so buyers can reach you, and reply promptly to keep your ad competitive.
Only share the contact details you are comfortable making public — they appear on your ad for buyers to see.

How moderation works
Every ad — new or edited — is reviewed by an automated system before it goes live. Ads that clearly follow the guidelines are approved automatically.
Ads that may break a rule are either rejected with a reason, or paused and sent to our team for a closer look.
Why an ad is rejected
If your ad is not approved, you will see the reason so you can fix it:
- Fixable issues — a wrong category, a restricted item, or a job post — can be edited and resubmitted, up to three times
- Serious or repeated violations are escalated to our team
- Accounts that repeatedly break the rules may be suspended or permanently banned
Staying safe
Khonnect.com is a place to connect — the deal itself happens between you and the other person. Protect yourself:
- Meet in a safe, public place during the day
- Inspect the item in person before you pay
- Pay on delivery — never send a deposit or transfer money in advance
- Be cautious of deals that seem too good to be true, and of anyone rushing you
Reporting and enforcement
If you see an ad or a user that breaks these guidelines, report it. Reports help keep the marketplace clean for everyone.
